Do what you love, love what you do: An omnipresent mantra that’s bad for work and workers.

Do what you love, love what you do: An omnipresent mantra that’s bad for work and workers..

This is actually rather thought provoking.  I never really considered the effect on how we value the thankless jobs out there.  Though I have had a sense of love for those grunge jobs I had.  Doing them well, knowing it was helping someone else.  Helps when whomever I am doing it for notices and appreciates that I’ve done it.  We do still tend to be rather elitist regarding jobs and look down on those who work in jobs we feel are beneath our own.
